good things come to those who wait.
was sharing with ash the other day,
about something God impressed upon me,
just an imagery of sorts.
he showed me a well,
that was dry,
and around the well,
there stood many people.
God told them to wait,
and wait they did,
but it wasn't before long that some of them started growing impatient,
and decided to go and find a new well instead.
they went, and indeed they found a new well,
but in that well,
the water it gave was dirty,
but they didn't care,
and drank anyway.
the other group however,
believed that God would deliver,
and they waited,
and suffered,
but they waited.
and one day,
a tremendous downpour came,
and the well was filled once again,
with water,
that was even cleaner and fresher than before.
its an imagery God gave me about spiritual dryness.
that there's 2 ways of responding to it.
one way will be to get impatient with God,
to doubt his deliverance,
and find another well to fill ourselves,
and in so, compromising our own moral standards,
giving in to a lacklustre life.
the other way would be to hang on,
to wait that mighty squall that will come,
that will fill us anew with water that refreshes.
i've chosen to be patient God,
thanks for filling me again. :)
when i can't trace God's hand,
i'll trust his heart.
