i'm so thankful for the different signs i've gotten the past few days.
the sermon on God's plan
the sat letter
the american teacher at NP
the rain in the afternoon

i'm going to continue asking,
because i want to make sure over and over again
i'm going where God wants me to go
and not where i want to go.

and is it just me,
or does jonah end very abruptly?

how can one be angry at the lord's compassion?
come to think about it,
it is rather easy because we don't see why this person should receive compassion just because we are too selfish and carnal to give that same compassion.
and i wonder, is there anything even remotely redeeming about us God?
why did you choose to save us?
i feel that we're so unlovable,
so horrible to one another
so generous when it comes to ourselves.
why did you choose to save us?
we kill, we lie, we wage wars and break promises
we desecrate, we steal, we idolise.
sure, there are one or two of us who seem to do nothing but good,
but for most of the population,
we all just suck at being nice, really.
and i know
it is only when i understand why God you decided to have compassion on us
will i be complete in heaven.
so in the meantime,
let me love all that i can,
be humble in your presence,
and just do what i can do enabled by you.
